The purpose of the courtesy visit was actually to strengthen the areas of Collaboration between NES and National Great Green Wall Project (NAGGW). The M&E, scientific, and technical support were also discussed.

The National President also stressed the importance of these collaboration as the Great Green wall has The mission of halting and reversing land degradation, prevent depletion of biological diversity, ensure that ecosystems are resilient to climate change and continue to provide essential services that would contribute to human welfare and poverty eradication.

The Director General on behalf of the Great Green wall thanks the National President and other delegations that was present from the Nigerian Environmental Society for their kind gesture in trying to connect the federal government Agency with an NGO to foster and fast track the efforts of securing the Environment both Nigeria and the continent of Africa at large.

The Director General in his speech assured the National President and other members that their discussion and agreement with not be left unattended to.

The NES national President also submitted an invitation letter and cards for the upcoming Nigerian Environmental Society 32^nd Enugu Annual National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM). Also informing the Director General of the importance of his presence and Great Green wall in the conference.
