The Abia state governor His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD., FNES, recently launched his masterpiece on environmental pollution, co-authored by Dr Kalu Kalu Igwe of the department of veterinary and biochemistry, Michael Okpara University of agriculture, Umudike.

Dr. Ikpeazu is a seasoned biochemist with a doctorate degree in biochemical pharmacology rising to the rank of the Head of Department of Biochemistry at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. As a sitting Governor of Abia state, he still lectures in the Abia State University on Pro-bono basis.

His tenure as the Head of the Waste Management Agency in charge of Aba thus gave him a first-hand opportunity to deploy his scientific research.

The Nigerian Environmental Society national president, Dr. Okobia was present to give his remarkable speech on the importance of this masterpiece to the environmental sector and to applaud the governor for impacting the society with his knowledge.

The event which took place on the 16th of February at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre Abuja, hosted several dignitaries and personalities followed by pictures to conclude the beautiful event.
