Youth empowerment in the environmental sector refers to the process of enabling young people to take an active role in protecting and preserving the environment. This involves providing them with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to become effective environmental advocates and leaders.

There are several ways in which youth empowerment can be achieved in the environmental sector. These include: Education and awareness raising, Skill building, access to resources, mentorship and support, Youth led initiative and many more.
These are major things that the NES national president talked about, he also advised the Youth on the need to imbibe the culture of discipline in all areas of their lives.

In addition, the National president encourages all the citizens to work in compliance with the government regulations in terms of waste disposal and management. He further charges those in Authorities and those implementing those laws to be serious in their respective duties.
